Sue and Hugh celebrated their marriage in August 2023. The couple exchanged their vows during a traditional church ceremony in Lickey Hills. Sue and Hugh’s joyful reception followed at Midlands Art Centre, MAC, a contemporary arts space near Moseley in Birmingham.
The floral vision for this couple’s special day was glamourous flower arrangements that exuded dark romance and elegance. The bride chose a colour palette of burgundy, purple and silvery grey. To introduce a 1920’s art deco vibe, we incorporated fluffy ostrich feathers into the table centrepieces.
Bridal Bouquet
The star attractions of Sue’s bouquet were beautiful dark purple calla lilies, paired with Menta roses, grey carnations and deep red naomi roses, and graceful asparagus fern.
You did an amazing job Ashley. Thank you for our beautiful wedding flowers. Everything looked awesome!

Wedding Reception at Midlands Art Centre
Following a church ceremony in Lickey Hills, the couple’s evening reception took place at Midlands Art Centre. For the wedding breakfast we repurposed the church pedestals around the reception room. The dining tables were decorated with dramatic, tall centrepieces on transparent stands.
