Elmbridge Farm Wedding

by | Apr 4, 2023 | 0 comments

Elmbridge Farm is a magical tipi wedding venue set in the Worcestershire countryside. Rhian & Dan celebrated their wedding on a gorgeous Summer’s day in August 2022.

The setting for Rhain & Dan’s tipi wedding is spectacular, nestled in beautiful woodland and overlooking a tranquil lake. Their wedding day at Elmbridge Farm was unique and full of beautiful details.

Colour was very important to this artistic couple. Rhian chose a beautiful palette of red, fuchsia and orange for her bridesmaids dresses. These gorgeous hues were the main inspiration for the bouquets.

Using a combination of luxury garden roses and locally grown British blooms I was able to bring Rhian & Dan’s vision to life for their wedding flowers.

It is amazing to source organic and artisan locally grown British flowers for my couple’s wedding days. For Rhian & Dan I chose a variety of gorgeous Dahlias, Zinnias, Stocks and Chrysanthemum to complement luxury imported Parfum Company and David Austin roses.

The Outdoor Ceremony

Elmbridge Farm is a relaxed venue with a festival vibe in the Worcestershire countryside. The weather was perfect and Rhian & Dan chose to have an outdoor ceremony overlooking the beautiful lake.

I decorated the existing wooden arbour with two stunning sprays of flowers which framed the couple perfectly while they said their vows. The floral arch complemented the couple’s authentic Moroccan carpet they had purchased on a recent holiday.

Rhian & Dan’s wedding guests sat on haybales and to complete the rustic, countryside theme Rhian chose two large milk churn arrangements brimming with seasonal flowers to flank either side of the aisle.

After the ceremony the statement milk churn arrangements were displayed outside the entrance of the tipi. It is a great idea repurpose your ceremony florals for the reception too.

The Tipi Reception

Rhian & Dan decorated their tipi with beautiful props such as mirrors, log slices and candles. For the tables I arranged statement florals in vintage medicine bottles.

There are so many areas of Elmbridge Farm to dress with flowers. I loved creating these large statement displays to sit of top of these sturdy barrel tables.

Large floral displays at your wedding make great photo backdrops for your guests!

Buttonholes

Don’t forget the boys! Buttonholes don’t need to be simple or all the same! For Dan and his groomsmen I created fun and bright buttonholes. Each one individual and unique. I used flowers such as chrysanthemum, zinnia and strawflower in hot summer colours that matched the bridal blooms.

Flower Crowns

No festival inspired wedding would be complete without gorgeous flower crowns and these ones did not disappoint!

I created for Rhian a flower crown fit for Frida Kahlo filled with the most fabulous garden roses, zinnia and chrysanthemum. Total festival queen vibes!

For her bridesmaids I made green goddess style foliage crowns made from eucalyptus, statice and white straw flower.

The Photographers

Rhian & Dan’s fantastic wedding day was captured by Kerri one half of the multi talented photographer duo Dearest Love Photography. A Worcestershire based independent photography business specialising in quirky, retro and industrial style wedding photography.

It is also a pleasure to have my work shot by such a talented team!
