Moor Pool Village Hall Wedding Harborne Birmingham

by | Jun 2, 2024 | 0 comments

Moor Pool Village Hall is a historic village hall in the heart of Harborne, Birmingham. Lucy & Tim celebrated their wedding on a gorgeous Summer’s day in September 2023.

The setting for for Lucy & Tim’s wedding is idyllic, nestled in quaint Harborne village. Their wedding ceremony at Selly Manor and reception Moor Pool Village Hall was truly unique and full of beautiful details.

Colour was very important to this fun loving couple. Lucy chose a beautiful, Autumnal inspired palette of oranges, reds and yellows. Her bridesmaids wore beautiful shade of blue. These gorgeous hues were the main inspiration for the bouquets.

The Bouquet

My bridal and bridesmaids bouquets were in a late summer, wildflower style and were just perfect – I did not want to put my bouquet down!

Lucy

Lucy and Tim were keen for their wedding to be as sustainable and local as possible. All their flowers were seasonal and locally grown in Warwickshire.

It is amazing to source organic and artisan locally grown British flowers for my couple’s wedding days. For Lucy and Tim’s flowers we sourced gorgeous Dahlias, Sunflowers, Zinnia and Cosmos.

The Reception

Moor Pool Village Hall is a relaxed venue to host a wedding with a quirky vibe. The weather was perfect and Lucy and Tim chose to have their ceremony at the historic Selly Manor.

Ashley is an amazingly talented florist. We had our wedding reception in our local village hall, and Ashley transformed it into the most special place by covering the ceiling space with hanging branches and flowers and trailing hops and ivy. Ashley also filled the hall and all the tables with jam jars of flowers, including the most beautiful dahlias, which we were able to give to our guests to take home.

Lucy and Tim

We decorated the ceiling of Moor Pool hall with a stunning foliage display which complimented the amazing lights and draping provided by Shiny People venue decorators. The foliage ceiling enhanced the couple’s unique vision and aesthetic for their day.

The guest’s tables were decorated with mismatched upcycled vases and jam jars, brimming with colourful, seasonal blooms.

On top of her exceptional creativity and skill, Ashley is so professional and communicative throughout the wedding planning process. She was always so supportive and encouraging of the vision for our day, and I am so grateful to her for making it all come together. I feel so lucky to have been able to have Ashley as our florist, and I absolutely recommend her to anyone planning their wedding.
