Shustoke Barn is a venue I know and love, and I’m lucky to work there regularly as a wedding florist. Its warm brickwork, soft lighting and rustic architecture provide the perfect backdrop for flowers with impact. Laura and Tom wanted their day to feel vibrant, joyful and expressive, so we leaned into bold, seasonal colour with confidence.
Laura and Tom’s wedding flowers at Shustoke Barn was an absolute joy to design. They are one of those couples who fully embrace colour, personality and doing things their own way – which makes them exactly my kind of people.
Their floral palette featured rich reds, hot pinks, oranges, yellows, violets and soft creams, all carefully balanced so the overall look felt uplifting rather than chaotic. The bridal bouquet was full of movement and texture, using seasonal blooms such as dahlias, gerberas, rudbeckia, roses and delphiniums, with each flower playing its part in a lively, painterly composition.
Bridesmaid Bouquets
The bridesmaids carried equally joyful bouquets, designed to sit beautifully against their blue dresses. This contrast – saturated florals against deep, inky fabric – created such striking photographs and really brought the whole wedding party together visually.
Colourful Table Flowers
Inside the barn, low urn arrangements decorated the guest’s tables, overflowing with colourful flowers, texture and movement. These designs softened the space and echoed the energy of the bouquets, tying ceremony and reception together into one cohesive story.
What I love most about weddings like this is the trust. Laura and Tom gave me the freedom to be creative and to push colour in a way that felt true to them. That’s always where the magic happens.
