Time: 12pm-2:30pm
Location: Moseley Dance Workshop, Birmingham
I love working with dried flowers especially during the winter months when British fresh flowers are scarce. Bright spring and summer flowers definitely brighten up our homes during the bare winter season.
There has been a real shift in people’s perceptions of dried flowers over the past few years. In the past people associated them with dusty old ladies but now wedding couples are choosing dramatic dried and preserved grasses and flowers for their weddings so they can be kept as beautiful treasures from their wedding day.
Although the preserving, bleaching and dying process in some dried flower production isn’t very eco friendly, dried and preserved flowers have a much lower carbon footprint than fresh florals (especially fresh imported from abroad).
A well looked after dried flower wreath or arrangement can be displayed and enjoyed for many months, even years before it fades and becomes too brittle.
Join me on this exclusive workshop and I will show you step by step how to create your own wild and wonderful dried flower wreath using an array of dried, dyed and preserved flowers and foliage.
Spending time being creative and making something yourself is very therapeutic. It calms the mind and lifts the spirit during these turbulent times.
All the materials you need to create your wreath will be provided. Light refreshments will also be provided
